Jersey Cyclone Brewing Co. "A Quarter Off Kölsch"
Notes: I'd say this is more than a quarter off. It's hazy. Kölsch is never hazy. The color is the right gold, and it's got an excellent head of densely foamy white that holds quite well and leaves some impressive lacing, but Kölsch is always clear. Perhaps they don't have a filter? That would make sense if it's a popular beer because it would take forever to clear in the fermenter or even a bright tank - it can be done though. Another odd thing is that I'm not finding Pilsner malt flavor, nor noble hops. In fact, I'm getting a kind of melon-like note. Could that be in the draft line? I imagine it could be, and thus I'll have to give it a pass, but the base beer isn't quite right either. At least the bitterness is balanced nicely. Medium bodied and crisp.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
