This was one of a handful of beers that I picked up at Joe Canal's in Woodbridge and finally ground around to today. Haven't had much from Jersey Cyclone, nor have I had any Munich Dunkels in a while, as this was just enough to check off all of the proverbial boxes. That being said, there wasn't much noteworthy here as it was an easy chugger during these early morning hours.
As was expected, this had a toasted brown hue to it that was quite appealing when held up to the light. A ton of thick, tan head evenly topped this off as it took a while to settle down. That was rocky once it subsided as the lacing left behind was mostly in the int he form of various splotches in the middle of my pint glass. Lots of nuts, bread, weedy chocolate, and dark malt in the faint nose as the taste was much more nutty with hints of tea spice and herbal hops. Well-balanced, moderately lightly carbonated, and all-around easygoing, this was fun to quaff but could have had just a tad more heft to it.
Dated 9/26/22 on the bottom of the can with "TOUCHDOWN HAS LANDED!" on top of it, this held up well as there wasn't any skunk or sediment to be detected. Nothing wrong with this beer as it would be a nice introduction to the style for someone unaccustomed to it!

On-tap @ Jersey Cyclone Brewing Co. in Somerset, NJ.
Dark brown with good clarity around the edges. Light tan head.
Rich malt aroma. Chocolate with a mild nutty character. Light herbal hops. The flavor is soft and lets the deep malts come through. Light hops providing just enough balance. Smooth and rich, yet not heavy. Medium bodied.
A really nice version of an underappreciated style. I hope this stays in their rotation more often than not.

A nice malty dunkel. Smooth and flavorful. Pours deep red with a medium head. Taste is biscuit and sweet. Feel is very nice coating and smooth. Overall, if you find it, give it a go.
