Bottled in dark brown glass and purchased from Beermoth in Manchester City centre on Tibb street
Pours a jet black body with splatterings of tan bubbles
Aroma is prunes and sherry
Flavour is Aniseed liqueur liquorice vanilla

Pours pure black, no bubbles. Only a few remind you this is a technically a carbonated beverage when you finish pouring from the bottle.
Smell is very rich. Sweet, dense dark fruit, molasses, booze, still got that stout backdrop. Certain oak smokiness as well.
Taste is very similar, layered. Initial dense dark fruit, then more on the chocolate, then more barrel smokiness, astringent character.
Feel is very dense and sweet, slight booze as well. Would have assumed this is way more then 12, more 14 to 16 tbh.
Quite the beer. Maybe I'll try the other one in Putney.
