Copenhagen 9/2 2023. 33 cl bottle from Mikkeller web-shop. Weird three spilt label which looks like a result of the paper folding game.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet slightly sugary odor mingling with dark alcohol. Brown sugar and dark roasted malts. Sweet cognac. Light touch of vanilla.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, soft, a bit sticky, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a searing, boozy undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and soaked in alcohol.
Solid, searing boozy stout where I can really enjoy the sweet woody alcohol.
