Copenhagen 12/1 2023. 33 cl waxed and capped bottle from Mikkeller web-shop. Dark label with weird organic looking stripes in dark red and yellow.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Bubbly. Disappears almost entirely after a bubbly moment. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, candy-like odor mingling with dark, sweet aloha. Coconut, vanilla. Caramel and toffee. Touch of brown sugar. Sweet bourbon.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily. soft, kind of sticky, lightly tiring texture.
Flavor is intense and potent. A strong sweetness followed by medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a searing boozy burn. A sweet undertone to mellow things out a bit. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and overwhelmingly boozy.
A dark and boozy mouthful.
