Copenhagen 10/1 2023. 33 cl waxed bottle from Mikkeller web-shop. A lot of paranoid-looking eyeballs on the black label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam clinging to the ide of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet, slightly candy-like sweet odor mingling with a prominent scent of coffee of the strong and potent variety. Chocolate, toffee and caramel, Honey sweetness. Espresso coffee. Dark sweet rum lurking in the background. Wood and alcohol.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, viscous, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a unforgiving boozy streak. Lingering coffee majesty. Finish is dry.
Potent, rich and strangely austere.
