I was surprised to see a NEIPA on the boards from a local Merida brewery, so I had to try it. The pour could be mistaken for an agua fresca, opaque golden-orange with a finger of fluffy head on top. Fruity tropical notes on the nose, with a touch of grassiness and bitter hop character. Orange, pineapple, and lemongrass on the palate. Quite a solid NEIPA; I wasn't sure what to expect from the craft scene here, but I've had a lot of NEIPAs that were much worse than this one.
