The Ways Brewery and Restaurant is a nice little place tucked away beside the railroad bridge between Mt. Caramel and Glenside Avenue. There's not a lot of parking right there but you can always find a spot nearby. It's a very down to earth kind of place with a kind of modern/retro-industrial, shabby-chic, and even hipster decor. As you enter the bar is ahead of you to the right with a small but comfortable dining area, and to the left is more dining and the brewhouse. The service is very good, which really stands out. The food is also very good and there are a lot of people who are not into beer that just go there to eat. Of course they also serve Pennsylvania wines and spirits.
The menu includes Starters (nachos, wings, fries), Veggies (veggie burger bites, fried cauliflower, roasted carrots), Salads, Pub Fare (sandwiches, burgers, cornflake chicken, meatball sliders), Tacos, and Desserts. Everything is in the $7 to $13 range but keep in mind you aren't getting huge plates; I actually prefer it that way.
The beers are good and the list is varied with 6 or so of their own and a handful of guest taps. It's worth the trip!
