This amber ale combines the best ingredients that Europe and North America have to offer. Belgian crystal malts provide notes of dark fruit and raisins and Cascade hops provide a slight bitterness and a hint of fresh pine.

Clear dark red color. Poured a medium head that took two minutes to drop down to a thin, even skiff. Low flow of tiny bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Left a few strings of lace on the side of the glass.

Mild malt scent with a faint cool mint. Just a hint of yeast funk. Swirling the glass kicked up a mild barnyard for a few seconds and then a stronger malt.

Stronger malt flavor than suggested by the smell, but still rather mild with a medium-light roast. The malt has hint of some dark fruits or fruitcake hiding in there. Light bitters with a mild hop flavor. Slightly tart. The bitters build up to something a bit acrid as it warms up. The aftertaste is much stronger hops and bitters. An odd bitter plastic flavor shows up at the end.

Mild tongue tingling, but it turns into a creamy foam for a few seconds before progressing to something coarser. Medium-light body.

Pretty average amber ale. The malt has some interesting flavor hints to explore, but there is something there that is just slightly off, especially in the aftertaste.

Tried on tap at the alibi room in Vancouver. Medium dark red-copper colour with puffy off white head that dissipates quickly. Not much in the way of smell. Soft malty taste that is quite pleasant and easy to drink. Almost like an English bitter. I would get again!

Awesome pillowy white head covers an appealing opaque dark amber brew. Light lacing.

Earthy malt and hops on the nose. Nice.

Malt and hops dominate the flavour. Yeast, pine and some mild bitter undertones.

Medium Carbonation.

My first offering from this new BC brewery available here in Cowtown.

Appearance - Pours a copper with three fingers of tan head.

Smell - earthy, leafy, floral, herbal, and hint of piney hops, bready malts, toffee, dark fruits (plum, raisin, fig), hint of pine resin, caramel, and earthy yeast.

Taste - earthy, leafy, floral, herbal, and hint of piney hops upfront. The bready malts, hint of pine resin, toffee, and dark fruits (plum, raisin, and fig) come through next. The caramel and earthy yeast round out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops and dark fruits lingering.

Overall - An enjoyable amber/red. I wish the hops played more of a dominant role in this one but still an easy drinking and flavourful brew.

Pours a dark Copper/Amber with a thick white head. A pretty mild nose some caramel and hop.
A malty amber with lots of caramel and toffee.
All in all a pretty tasty ale.
