Pours a rich brownish reddish mahogany with light khaki head. Retention is terrific. Getting slight woody notes on the nose. It's not super aromatic, but it's pleasant. It is toasty, nutty, brown buttery. There's great floral noble hop character as well, but the malt is the real star of this show.

I have probably been drinking Wheatland Spring for close to a year now. At first, I thought the beers were good, not great. As I've been able to try newer iterations of their portfolio, the execution has gotten better and better. This is a brewery that has it really dialed in. Bauerhof is no joke. It's a great altbier and one I had to get more of when I was at the brewery.
