Aged for one year in Catoctin Creek whiskey barrels. Pours dark brown with a half-finger of tan head, and the nose is full of English notes, both rich caramel/brown sugar and musty leather and tobacco. Reminiscent of Mother of All Storms but not as complex. The palate is similar in character, with more of the whiskey notes and barrel oak coming through. Good barrel contributions, with some additional stonefruit notes, mostly plum. Enjoyable but pricey.
