A buddy of mine in Colombia (Thanks Andrès) sent me some bottle of beer from this brewery. This is my first foray.
Pours a lovely amber bronze color with a two finger sized head. Really nice lacing down the side of the glass too! Clear opacity.
Super hoppy smell. Piney and resinous. I had several IPAs while visiting but none were this piney and hop forward. Really nice! Pine and citrus goodness.
The smell was screaming west coast but the flavor is more east coast. Solid malt backbone but not too sweet or chewy. Hop flavor, bready, bitter, piney, delicious.
After all of the duds I had while visiting, this was a pleasant surprise and a reprieve from the rest of the watered down mess typically available. Lovely beer!
