I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery in Twin Falls, Idaho location as part of a five sample flight. It poured a hazy golden with white head which left a spotty lace. The beer was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

16 oz can from Sledutah. Medium golden pour, small skin of white head. Light citrusy aroma. Taste features light bitterness, more citrus, and feels kind of oily.

a hazy new england style double here, great hop profile, but a little raw to me overall, some tweaks and fine tuning could have this in great shape, but for now its a little rough around the edges. real pale wheaty color and quite dense in the glass, even though i can not see any visible sediment bits, the head is tall and white and has pretty good retention. a definite northwestern hop profile here is pretty neat in the nose, not the juicy fruity new school profile i am used to in beers that look like this, i get pine and wet forest and a sort of centennial hop lumber element, maybe some simcoe grapefruit character too, but this is a little more robust and familiar than in their tablebase, which was tropical to me. i like the higher bitterness in a double ipa, and i like it even more when the beer finishes dry like this, it gives it a late climax and keeps the heavier grain from seeming too big. i get subtle pepper, orange peel, and vegetal matter here too, a little green, but pretty solid. there is a less than fully clean fermentation profile though that prevents this from reaching its full potential, which is not hugely abrasive or anything, but there is a slight chemical aspect to this, a light phenolic thing, take that away and add some more carbonation, and this one is all the way there. these guys seem way ahead of the curve already for how new they are, looking to trying more mature and refined versions of these beers next time!

edit: this was radically better the second time i had it, not sure if a new batch has been made or if its just settling well over time, but this had a much cleaner fermentation profile and more balance in my more recent experience, and the beer seems quite a bit more cleaned up overall. raising a couple of scores to reflect the latest.
