Tap at BrĂ¼. Hazy straw color. Aroma is light, tart citrus notes, hoppiness towards the back. Hops move forward in the taste, pretty sharp bitterness that grabs you at the back of the throat. Lingers for a bit.

another double ipa here, they had three or four of them on tap last time i was in, and thats out of only seven or eight beers in total of their own, so obviously a focus on the bigger hoppy stuff in the early going here at koto. this on was real solid, a little more cleaned up on the fermentation side than most of the others have been, and its pretty drinkable for its higher strength, they have done a good job of hiding that in these bigger ipa types. this had a distinct lemon and lime profile from the hops, i almost get like a 7up soda or something, a touch of sweetness and higher carbonation complete that likeness. there is also really low bitterness, so this seems especially juicy all the way through. the citrus is natural tasting to me, and almost seems more fruit than hop derived. background notes of fresh flowers, peaches, and dried grass. its cleaner than the others too, nothing really here at all from the yeast. this is pretty good local and modern ipa, still a little something missing for me in all of their beers, but they are definitely trending in the right direction, and these big ipas seem to be what they are doing best.
