D and G Brewing Company

Skipped down from Riverlands in the outskirts to D & G, situated just outside of the main brewery corridor on Main on the first floor of a two-story mixed-use. Inside the surprisingly light door (seriously, it looks like a hefty freezer door, but I almost yanked the thing off its hinges when I pulled with the wrong expectation), you're greeted by an air hockey table on the right before the small hall leads to the main space: bar and anteroom seating to the left, brewing apparatus through the door ahead, and a solid amount of various table seating to the right (along with some additional games and a pinball machine); some patio space stretched out of the back, as well. The bar itself is laden with malts beneath/within the thick resin, making a rather pretty visual effect. The overall feel of the ambience is part garage part rec room, and the music was rather nice (including such bangers as Pantera's "Walk" and Nine Inch Nails' "Closer" and a country cover of "Long Cool Woman"). Solid selection of beers, with a kolsch, hef, red, rye, dubbel, and oatmeal stout sharing space with a few IPAs and a guest cider from Broken Brix down the street, and they ranged from average to pretty durn good. Bartender was pretty chill, and the clientele seemed to follow suit (though a couple of the kids were a bit raucous, likely due to wanting to play elsewhere and being filled with Sprecher root beers). Overall, not the most exciting options in the world, but I could easily see spending plenty of time here if I lived in the area (or, at least, closer than I do).

Taproom with both a bar and tables for seating. They had 8 different beers on tap when I visited. The quality of the the beer is average to good. Service was friendly and knowledgable.
