Copenhagen 7/11 2021. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Hjort's usual design in dark burgundy with yellow hop flowers falling from the sky.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty scent mingling with a sharp sourish scent. Sweet pale malts, soggy cardboard and butter. Sharp lemon and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger, rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and sharp. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
A beer with some off-flavor and a rough bitterness.
