this was one of the more drinkable beers i had in here, probably the cleanest of the four i had in terms of fermentation, a lot less of the weirdness and cheapness to this, but that said, its still nothing special as ipa goes, especially in spokane, but it will drink, and was a serviceable glass of beer. the hop profile is fine, citra for sure, maybe something a little more intense, some grapefruit zest to this as well, but more in the nose than the taste, herbal and fresh enough to me too, samey, but good. i also think the light body and minimal grain complexion works well for a session ipa, the hops arent bitter in this, so they really dont need any more malt for balance than is already here, the simplicity is appealing. my critique though, is that the beer is almost totally flat, feels watery and tired, and thats the exact opposite of how i want a session ale to feel. its supposed to be quenching and refreshing and crushable, but when its flat like this, all of that goes out the window. more potential in this than in some of their other beers, but it breaks down at the critical juncture, a bummer in a beer i otherwise liked pretty well.
