my least favorite of the beers i had in their spokane taproom during my visit, which is saying something, since none of their beer really did much for me. its darker than i want a blonde to be, not amber or anything, but orange tinted, i definitely wouldnt call this a shade of blonde. it smells phenolic and chemical on the ferment, all of their beer had this to some extent, but there is less to cover it up here, and it seems cheap and plastic and bad to me in that regard, like the yeast was stressed, too hot or something, this just isnt right. its a shame because i like it having just a little body, it has better carbonation than some of their others, and seems to posses a little bit of potential if it could be rightly cleaned up, but in its current form, it was a tough one to drink, and i tasted it way too long after it was gone, and its not a residual sugar thing, its because the yeast permeates my tongue and wont go away. i was disappointed in the beers here in general, uninspired, poorly executed in a lot of instances, and certainly secondary to their cider. these have to improve or i cant see this arm of their business sticking around too long...
