16 ounce can from the brewery. 10 ounce pour.
Clear golden orange pour with a scant finger of fine bubbly white head; very nice lacing.
Tropical fruit, ripe orange on nose; some softer piney notes and caramel malt.
Sweet caramel malt and tropical fruit up front, but quickly giving way to a sticky resinous piney bitterness that then dominates.
Medium full mouthfeel with an oily, sticky bitterness that lingers.
I am a fan of the old school IPA (DIPA in this case) bitterness, but 8-10 ounces here is plenty as this is aggressively so, without as much balancing sweetness.
