Sampling a cold 500 ml bottle poured into my plastic sample cup. Beer was picked up at Bagtown Brewing in Tantramar yesterday from their cooler.
The beer pours a dark cola brown color and has a large fluffy beige head that almost overtops my cup even with a very gentle pour. Very foamy beer!! This foam fades slowly and leaves dense clingy lattice as it recedes down the cup. Very creamy surface covering sticks around throughout. Actually overfoams on re pours each time.
Aroma is some dry bakers chocolate and a bit of a chalky note and sort of minerally scent. Not really any hop character. And low abv is hidden on the nose as well.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with very fine and gentle carbonation. Texture is smooth and beer is easy drinking on physical traits.
Flavor is some roasted malt and dark bakers chocolate, but its pretty mild overall. A little bit of chocolate lingers after each sip Never any hop character nor ABV hints.
Its a decent beer with the right flavors and pretty mild. Glad to have tried this one from a new to me brewery.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
