Copenhagen 28/3 2021. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Metallic can with a green form that looks a bit like a tilted heart with green stripes and the name of brewery and beer in contrasting orange.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit mingling with subtle citric notes. Mango, peach and pineapple. Citrus anf grapefruit. Alcohol seeping in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Finish is dry.
Solid and not too heavy DIPA.

Pours a cloudy, deep golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and tropical fruit hops, with notes of pineapple and melon, with some light citrus accents also coming through. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and fruity, bitter and slightly resinous hops, with tropical and lighter citrus notes of pineapple, melon and grapefruit, with perhaps just a hint of strawberry in there as well. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some papaya, melon and peach lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
While I was glad to have an IPA in my glass that feels a bit more old school than hazy, with a good bitterness and some light resinous accents, I was also a bit disappointed for the Strata hops, one of my favorites, really not delivering those intensely dank and tropical notes of fresh weed and passion fruit here, while this is also a bit too sweet for my personal taste. Overall this makes for a decent DIPA that's not too boozy and has got an interesting, kinda unique flavor profile to it that seems to be dominated by the Belma hops, although it also feels a bit muddled up and not all that well-defined.
