Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical hops, with notes of passion fruit, mango and papaya, as well as some herbal accents. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly herbal and resinous hops, with strong tropical and lighter citrus notes of passion fruit, mango, papaya and grapefruit, as well as just a hint of pine. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some passion, fruit, mango and herbal accents lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
When you have nothing but NEIPAs for the evening, they really do all start to taste same, or perhaps this is just because these all used similar hop varieties that are heavy on the tropical notes, just like this one, which is very much dominated by sweet and somewhat musty and acidic passion fruit and mango, although with just a hint of zesty citrus and herbal and resinous accents as well. It's a somewhat typical, but very very nice example of the style, although perhaps just a tad too sweet for my personal taste, with a good body and mouthfeel as well. Also, first "If I Should Fall From Haze With God" and now "Jerry Was A Hazecar Driver"? They certainly have great taste in music at BrewHeart!
