On tap at the brewery.
Nice looking dark black colored beer. There's a long lasting dark brown head to the beer. Some lacing on the glass
The nose has a roasted character to it. I get a lot of roasted dark chocolate notes with some hints of coffee.
There is a huge hit of dark chocolate malts up front. The roasted chocolate is added to by a hint of coffee in the beer. There's a bit of a creamy flavor on the backside.
The body is damn smooth. Very creamy feeling.
Very tasty beer and it packs a lot of flavor in the 5.6% package.

A - Pours opaque, black with subtle brown and red highlights, light tan head, short and quick to fade. Minimal lacing and thin line of tan as a rim.
S - Pungent nose of roasted malts and bright coffee fruitiness, a touch of chocolate, and slightly vegetal.
T - Follows the nose, with coffee and chocolate in the open, bready malts in the middle, and sharp clean acidity.
M - Moderate weight, mild carbonation, and subtle acidity in the finish.
O - Solid beer, with good flavor. It is satisfying without being burdensome.

Short tap draw at the brewery. Served very chilled. Allowed the beer to warm a bit before drinking.
Black colored body with a tan head. No lacing pattern left behind.
Aroma of coffee and dark roasted malts.
Taste follows with a heavy coffee flavor, along with some chocolate from the malts.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Solid coffee stout but not exceptional.
