i liked this a lot better than the other reviewer here, but i guess it comes down to what you want from a beer like this. for me its simple, i want it to have a distinctly german profile whether from grain or yeast or preferably both, i want it to be on the dry side and approaching crisp and snappy, and i want some hops, noble and from the earth. within that i have plenty of range for relative dryness, fermentation profile, mineral content, all of that, but if it hits those marks and has nice carbonation, i am pretty happy. this is clean enough to check my boxes and not so refined its generic, i can taste the freshness of the grain in here, and the mouthfeel is right on, even with just a bit of center palate sweetness. its not radical or anything, but this really isnt the space for that this time, and on their beautiful rooftop patio at their brewery with the hot sun baking down, this hit the mark in terms of the intersection of flavor and refreshment. i think this brewery has really upped their game over the last year or so, everything we had here last time was quite solid, and i appreciate their evolution and growth! perhaps the cans arent as compelling as the draft at the source...

12oz bottle from Brewer's Haven. Bright golden pour, small foamy white head. Aroma is biscuity malts, grains, hay. Taste is in line with the style, grassy, bready. Not as crisp as the original, focusing more on the grain bill.
