very summery brew here, a pretty clean kettle sour packed with pineapple and passion fruit, good on a number of levels. the tartness is there, lactic and lemony, piquant but not bracing, enough to satisfy sour fans but still be fairly drinkable, this aspect is well done. the fruit is cool too, sweet from the pineapple and tangy from the passion fruit, both obvious in terms of flavor and both contributing a little complimentary acidity of their own. its not the prettiest brew, especially with sunshine in the name, kind of misleading, a little hazy brass toned and without much head, i also think its weird that they default serve this in a pint glass, i never prefer sours in that vessel no matter how drinkable, but the aroma and flavor here are solid through and through. i also like that i can still taste and feel some wheat malt here, its not just tart juice, it remains beery, and i think the grain base is cool, light but flavorful and it balances this well. i definitely want more carbonation here, but the rest of it feels right. the fruit is natural and bright in this, and the sourness is spot on for what this is. close to being fantastic...
