Served from the tap in a taster glass at the Cercis brewpub.
Pours a dark garnet-hickory topped by a finger of glowing off-white foam. The nose comprises rich caramel, light roast, mild cocoa powder, light pine, light candied orange peel, and a touch of brown sugar. The taste brings in more of the same, the brown sugar being upgraded to turbinado. The body is a lithe medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a smooth feel. A pretty nice and tasty wee heavy, 'nuff said.
