Copenhagen 29/1 2023. 44 cl can from Craft Makers Collective web-shop. Åben’s usual split label design in a light green version.
Pours opaque murky golden yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of ripe stone fruit mingling with a milder citric scent. Peach and apricot. Honey melon. Lemon and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Well-balanced and satisfying without any surprises.
