Our love for NEIPA's was the reason for our beginning but it has always been in our heart to experiment and become better at what we do. Bryg 67 - Imperial Stout was the first stout in our range. A large full-bodied Imperial Stout notes of coffee, chocolate, and English licorice.

Copenhagen 18/2 2021. 33 cl bottle from Best of Beers web-shop. Black label with grey etchings in Åben Brewery’s usual style with a vertical split in the center.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light sweet malty odor mingling with earthy and sour notes. Brown sugar and chocolate. Licorice. Leather and tobacco. Coffee grounds.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry with a light sugar coating.
Potent not too sweet Imperial Stout with an earthy touch.
