Snowflakes
ÅBEN
Snowflakes was one of our 2022 winter beers named after the classic Christmas ballet The Nutcracker.
This year we brewed yet another batch for the 2023 winter beer collection. Snowflakes is delicately layered with a hint of orange from the bitter and
aromatic curaçao orange.

Copenhagen 12/12 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Light blue version of Åben's usual design with a split label.
Pours unclear, almost opaque, golden yellow with a huge white head. Stable. Settles as an uneven, lumpy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a rather strong sweet odor of ripe Stone fruits mingling with a more subtle scent of citrus fruit. Sweet peach and apricot. Touch of turpentine. Grapefruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger, searing bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a distinct bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Flavorful for a Snowflake.
