Copenhagen 5/3 2021. 33 cl bottle from Best of Beers web-shop. Åben’s usual design with a split label in black with brown lumps.
Pours opaque, murky, dirty golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a a light sweet fruity odor of tropical fruit mingling with a bit of caramel and citric notes. Tangerine and peach. Citrus and lime.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Pretty light for a DIPA - but certainly drinkable.
