First time stop today. The missus has been wanting to go due to cask ales and today was the day. Friendly staff. Seating was outside due to Covid so did not get to see what it would normally be like. We tried to cask ales an English Brown Ale and a MSB Dimpled Mugs. While they tasted good they were a bit on the thin side and 4.2% ABV

My favorite brewery in Appleton. New guys, but they're doing good stuff. They have four hand pulls and feature traditional cask staples like an ESB, English IPA, and Porter. But they also get plenty inventive with the rest of their taps. Clean German lagers, sours, bitter IPAs. The quality has been top-notch across the board (and I've tried a few dozen). Bartenders are all awesome. They have a couple of "bar dogs" which are dogs from customers that are small enough to hang out on the bar. Buddy the Chihuahua is a regular. As a fan of bigger dogs, I finally have identified the purpose of chihuahuas... bar dogs. Awesome. Unless you're a cat person, I guess. Free popcorn, but they frequently have food trucks. Huge outdoor patio. Indoor is kinda like an old English saloon. Dark wood, stand-only bar, lots of tables, small balcony. Prices are great. Up to $7 for full pours but that's imperial pints, tip included (they pay a living wage), and no tax if you pay cash. They also take credit cards. Great participants in the community with a block party, lots of other events, and efforts to help save the bees. Overall, already the premiere brewery in town. With several other drinking establishments in easy walking distance, make this place your first and last stop.
