On tap at the brewery.
The beer pours a cloudy deep mahogany with about one fingers worth of dense off white head that disappears quickly leaving behind very little lacing.
The aroma is very sweet, comprised mostly of caramel, with hints of chocolate. There are also, toffee, and slightly toasty notes as well.
The flavor is slightly more one dimensional than some of the better examples of the style. There is also just a slight alcohol burn. Full bodied and moderately carbonated, with a slightly chewy mouthfeel.
Overall this is a very nice big malty beer. would order again

L:. Pours a muddy Tootsie roll brown with no head and lacing.
S:. Roasted malt, chocolate, a bit caramel, slight note of vodka.
T:. Roasted malt, smoke, chocolate, a bit of caramel, a note of alcohol. A medium bitterness.
F:. Light carbonation, cola like body.
O:. This is a solid if non exciting scotch ale.
