Variant of I've Been Thinking About A Martini For the Last Two Beers

We brewed this Martini-inspired Gose with botanicals from Old Home Distillers New York Distilled Gin, along with toasted Indian coriander. The beer was then aged in a Gin barrel for 11 months, blended with a grape ale, and re-conditioned on fresh gin soaked oak chips.

Slightly hazy medium gold with 1 1/2 fingers of creamy white head (rather substantial for a gose) , that fades to a 1/4" ring, and a thin surface covering of bubbles.

Smell is light-moderate gin aroma, a little of the typical gose "fresh breeze" smell, lactic sourness (that fades with the head) lime, some tannic (barrel) notes, and a little grape. At times the barrel, grape, and the sour combine to give a brief impression of dry white wine. Haven't ever knowingly had any beer with toasted coriander, but guessing that might be accentuating the woody aspect.
Additional note : as it warms,(& is almost gone ) I get a slight smell of sweetened strawberry juice, as in whats left when the strawberry shortcake is gone. :)

Taste is light gin, grape, and wood , at first , with some lime coming in late, and lingering after finish. Some slight spiciness, as in a rye beer, that I suspect is from the coriander. Some dried strawberry, as it warms. Sourness is on the light side of medium, less than for the usual gose, with some surface-level bread crust flavor, as the sour fades. Light bitterness.

Feel is light overall, though a bit more substantial than a typical gose. Granted, the abv is higher also, & this is barrel-aged, so not surprising. Moderate carbonation, that is soft at first, then slightly, pleasantly prickly.

Overall, easy-drinking, thoroughly enjoyable, and is gone way too quickly. This had the potential to go wrong in so many ways, but didn't. Well put-together, and balanced. The gin is not overwhelming ; if straight gin is 10, then this is 3.0-3.5-ish, in terms of gin strength. All of the other flavors, and the sourness, take turns dancing around the gin, with about equal time for all. Well-done!
