High Ground Brewing

9/21/24, We were here early on a Fall Saturday, before the food truck, and there were only 4 other folks here, so things were pretty quiet.

Lovely setting that makes you feel you're elsewhere. Lots of seating, covered and open patio.

Enjoyed our server, Nicole... knows beer and likes it...that's important at a brewery!

Games on hand to play...Scrabble was our choice today.

The beer offerings are lovely. Each a very good offering in it's own right.

Pole barn with a rustic interior, bar and barrel tables. Extensive patio. Good service, decent beer.More taps than I would have imagined. Just St on the other side of the tracks from the town.

A small place, literally across the tracks, that one could easily miss. Inside seating could get cozy when the season get cold, but there’s a nice outside area that is half-covered that can accommodate more as the season permits.

The beer list when we visited was half IPA (they had kicked a couple kegs of their 12-ish taps the night before), half random varieties. I mainly avoided the IPAs, not by design, but sampled many of them and felt their quality matched the “off-styles” I was trying.

To that end, this brewery fell into the norm - some quality brews, some interesting offerings, and some things that needed dialing in. I’m trying to couch my personal enjoyment of an afternoon there as a first time visitor on a slow day with what others may experience. I and my girlfriend had a wonderful time, but we were half the customer count for a good period which gave us perhaps a unique experience. In order, we’ll revisit allowing me to adjust this review accordingly.
