A: Pours a murky, almost milky medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + bright orange + medium golden yellow + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy tropical/mango + citrus/grapefruit + tropical/papaya + herbal + dank/resinous hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + caramel + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy tropical/mango + citrus/grapefruit + tropical/papaya + herbal + dank/resinous hops which impart a light to moderate amount of bitterness which lingers for a short amount of time leaving juicy grapefruit hop flavors behind.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp upfront with a hint of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a decent mouthfeel though not quite a soft/fluffy as I was expecting/hoping for. Nice hop flavors and aromas though it feels a bit like it wanted to be part West Coast IPA and part NEIPA but didn’t quite come off for me.
