Purchased as a four-pack of 16oz cans from The Fresh Market for $12.99. Poured into a nonic pint glass.

L - Pours a thin, hazy yellow. No head whatsoever. Watery.
S - Mustard seed, dill, and coriander. Garlic.
T - Celery and mustard seed. Super heavy on the coriander. Dill finish. A bit tart.
F - Light-bodied, with little carbonation. Watery. Not really too drinkable.
O - Not as bad as I thought it'd be. Definitely a pickle lager. I love pickles, but this is a bit much. Worth a try, but not worth the money.

This was the best beer I've ever had. I really want it to come back. The entire stock seems to be gone. Please bring this back, it would be my go-to beer at home. The aroma of dill pickle that occurs as it runs down your esophagus is to die for.

A: Light yellow in color, with a slight haze. Some bright white head on the top, but it quickly dissipates.

S: A slight aroma of garlic, and a bit more dill. Some lager aromas, as well as a bit of a salty flavor.

T: Not as much pickle flavor as I thought there would be. More like a light cucumber, and dill lager. Almost comparable to Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda... a touch of salt, a touch of sweet. Pretty enjoyable really, not the pickle bomb I was expecting.

M: Medium light in feel, moderate carbonation, and a dry finish.

O: Overall an interesting brew, but a bit tame. I think they could have amped this up a bit for the pickle aficionados out there, that being said it's current rendition is probably more approachable for your run of the mill beer drinker.

Pickletown – Dill Pickle Lager – Deep River Brewing Company, Clayton, NC
I am very excited about this new beer, the Pickletown! I am that guy that will drink pickle juice for really any purpose, as a chaser, hangover cure, or just cause! Deep river takes this standard lager and brews it with 50 pickles per pint. To be honest, I don’t see how that is possible. This beer is like taking a typical 12 ounce lager and adding 2 ounces of pickle juice to it. The guys and gals at Deep River had a collaboration with R&R Brewery in Mt. Olive NC to produce Pickletown, a part of their 2019 Tributary Series. You may not be able to find this one anymore, but if you head over to Deep River social media channels you may be able to convince them to bring this one back. The Pickletown is 4.5% abv. If I could buy these by the 24-pack at a decent price, I would. I will give the Pickletown a solid 7.5, the one Beer Advocate review that this beer has is an 8.6, which is completely too high for a lager.
