Really surprised to not find this one on BA but very glad to add it as I was incredibly surprised by this beer having never sampled something from Mobtown. This beer rivals juicy fruit forward doubles from Singelcut and the greats without a doubt.
Tallboy can poured into a 16oz muffintop.
L: Hazy burnt orange. Not much of a head but some retention. Not much lacing. Color and haziness are on point though.
S: Smells so delicious, a massive fruity sweet bomb with some alcohol present in the nose as well as bready malty goodness and just a hint of grassy hops.
T: Taste follows the nose but falls short in the fruity flavors department. From the nose you're expecting a crazy fruit bomb tempered with the hop and malt backbone of a DIPA but you're greeted with some feint strawberry flavors as the only fruit before the generous (and delicious) DIPA hops and malt. Finishes crisp with a bit of lingering strawberry. All in all it tastes great, easily drinkable and the ABV is well hidden but I was expecting some more fruit.
F: Creamy, medium to thick mouthfeel.
O: Very happy with this beer overall, especially given the price tag in comparison with other similar options from more well-known breweries. If you see this one and enjoy this style pick a can up for sure and you won't regret it.
