Our yearly rendition of a German Märzen/Oktoberfest. We brew Mobtoberfest with all traditional German malts & hops for a beautiful golden amber lager with balanced malt sweetness & hop bitterness. Prost!

The most inviting aspect of this beer is its pleasant smell. It has almost a citrusy aroma. The taste, however, is average at best among other Octoberfest offerings. The only way to describe it is almost overly complex where an initial citrus taste is rapidly overpowered by Fest spices.

16 ounce can poured into a dimpled mug.
Canned 9/9/21
Pours rich amber with two fingers of thick khaki foam sustained by loads of miniscule rising bubbles. The head is very persistent and leaves a decent amount of lacing. At the pour the nose is dominated by sweet grain before settling down to a lasting but more subtle bread and light spicy hop aroma. The taste opens malty, but not sweet before mildly bitter floral and orange peel hop flavors take over. Malt flavor is low and it is hard for me to nail down to anything more specific than hints of toasted grain. Mouthfeel is medium-light with moderate carbonation giving a quick crisp opening that smooths into a heavier creamy finish. In my opinion a good and representative Marzen although I would like the malt flavor to stand up better.
