A serious beer with a silly name, we brewed Dunkelsaurus as traditionally as possible with only the finest heritage German malts, hops, & yeast. Aromas & flavors of caramelized malt, bread crusts, and a touch of bakers cocoa lend a perception of sweetness, but with a light dry finish.

L: Two finger khaki head, tight foam with good retention, leaves lace, clear dark brown body showing caramel edges.
S: Chocolate and sweet caramel malt.
T: Hint sweetness to open, quickly drys, roasted malt, less sweet than nose advertises, earthy hops at finish, woody char aftertaste, sharp but fuller and less acrid than a Schwarzbier, balanced malt to hop flavor.
F: Medium body, creamy feel cut short by crisp finishing bite.
O: Decent but the flavor is less rich than I expected for a Dunkel.
