The Barrels & The Bees is a celebration of our tiny bee friends and the fruits they keep in our lives.
Our Imperial Red base beer first faced lactobacillus and Norwegian Kveik yeast, before heading to age in California red wine and Kentucky Rye Whiskey barrels. We let some of our favorite Brettanomyces strains put in work for 6 months before finally adding blackberry, boysenberry, and black currant. Oh, and a big old bucket of honey. Is this bad boy complex? You bet! Our best stab at a description for you is to picture eating a super jammy berry pie while enjoying a delicious bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.
