Recently, we stumbled across a delightful mix of our Sparkle Bike Rye Hazy and Tank The Frank Hazy DIPA. The shorthand for this concoction quickly became Sparkle Tank, because well…duh.
With bellies full of Sparkle Tanks, we set our brewer off on a magical quest to capture the essence of both beers and have them form like Voltron, into what shall henceforth be called Hugzilla!
All the essential notes are there. The delicious juicy peach, lemon, pineapple from Strata, Citra, & Lemondrop hops are awfully tasteful buds, while the Sabro and Lotus lend their orange, vanilla, coconut depth to the party. We dare say the addition of rye malt and flakes caps the whole thing off beautifully. Dangerously drinkable is an understatement. Enjoy!

Solid IPA that tastes like a mix of west coast and NE. The west coast character comes in seemingly because of the spiciness of the rye...but there is some hop bite too. Haze is a darker SRM than I prefer, but still orange-ish rather than brown. Head retention is a solid B. Glad that Gezellig is canning lots of different beers!
