Handsome amber brown brew with long-lasting off-white foam in the Tuborg Pilsner glass. Clean malty and grainy aroma. Warm and mellow but not too sweet. Tastes of caramel with a darker note. Maybe a hint of hops, but the dark edge gives it some complexity. Overall this is a highly quaffable and well flavored brown brew. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bottlecraft. Dated 12/12/25.

Pours a beautiful, rich brown color that is clear in the glass and sports a sudsy light tan head. The nose is led by chocolate and caramalt notes, and there’s a bit of roast malt as well, which is replicated on the taste, with the chocolate and caramalt flavors most delicious. This is a really nice brown ale that I’d gladly try again.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium to dark reddish brown with a half finger light khaki head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of subdued toasted malt, milk chocolate and a touch of vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt with moderate char, bitter chocolate, mild citrus hops and hints of caramel. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A dry, toasty and somewhat hop forward brown ale. The hop flavor is mild at first, but dominates the finish. Good chocolate character and a little dark fruit. Flavor is a little attenuated, which leaves the hop bitterness a bit stark in the finish, but overall a pleasant malty brown ale that's in character for the style.
