Sacred Vice Brewing Co. “Desiderata”
$5/10 oz. on tap at the Amber St. location on 26 August 2023
Notes via stream of consciousness: “West Coast rye IPA with Lemon Drop, Cascade, and Simcoe hops”. The Simcoe and Lemon Drop are clear in the aroma. I’m getting notes of mango and apricot as well. The malt appears grassy, or perhaps that’s from the hops. The taste follows the aroma but it's completely amped up. It's of course citrusy, but also a touch tropical with passion fruit, mango, apricot, berry, and a hint of melon. The rye spiciness is clear, adding an additional layer to it. It finishes dry, spicy, fruity, and lightly herbal. In the mouth it’s medium bodied and gently crisp. This is an interesting and unique IPA that's worth checking out.
