Nice looking golden amber brew with plenty of foam in the Tripel Karmeliet tulip. Light body with plenty of spritz on the tongue. Flavor is ripe honeydew melon with lime juice spueezed on it. Quite moderate bitterness with a bit of stems and a dry finish. Tangy but not acidic.
Maybe brewers are getting this "Cold IPA" thing down. This is one of the most flavorful examples I've had. Even the lesser specimens are quite drinkable, especially after an occasional overly optimistic venture into the land of hazies. From the 16 oz can purchased at the Original 40 taproom in North Park. No date as usual.
