Chocolate was an obvious addition to this beer but the intensity of the base flavors necessitated a more complex approach so we drew inspiration from a very familiar source. The cocoa nibs add an earthy depth and bitterness while the cinnamon and allspice bring in savory notes from a different angle. Local chocolate habaneros enhance the warming effect of the spices and match the long lasting finish from the residual sugars.
