Big ups for Adam bringing this one out, never heard of it, and pretty much need to pump those TN beer numbers up, its like only Southern Grist and shit I think in my history.
So anyways, pretty sexy bottle design, I think it was a 500ml black bottle that might not have been glass, I think it was ceramic like those old Rogue bottles back in the day. Pours black. Brown thin head 1/5". The aroma hits a few of the commercial tug job spots, yes, cinnamon, vanilla, bourbon. . . its there. Light lactose hit. Smells nice.
Taste brings on the notion that you can make a milk stout without it being overly pastry-fied. Its a light lactose, noticeable, but still rocking plenty of cinnamon but everything talks parity with each other, not too much vanilla or lactose, a light barrel influence giving a light roasted malt and bourbon edge. They got the proportions right for my suitability. There aren't too many barrel aged milk stouts with cinnamon out there, give it a try. I wasn't disappointed.
