It has been a while since I last used my "14er" tumbler from Pretentious Glass Company. Klingen is labeled as a Kellerbier and is gem clear and golden straw (SRM 3-4). It has a loose, white head that holds two inches for a long while. Eventually, thick patches of lace are deposited during the session. Random, tiny bubbles become obscured once the second pour adds light yeast haze.
The aroma has a strong, bready yeast followed by light lemon and leather. There is a faint sulfur background, lending some earthiness to the experience.
The flavor is bright, following the nose, and crisp. Light bitterness is balanced by sweetness. Lemongrass and sourdough bread allow faint honey. The finish is long, mild, and dry, with a bitter bite.
The body is medium to full, with the soft smooth texture of Jersey cotton. Alcohol is light, as expected. Light, fizzy carbonation accentuates the mineral qualities.
This is a great drinking beer, refreshing and sessionable. My only regret is not having more to enjoy while watching the Super Bowl.

Look:
Pours an opaque hazy straw yellow with a generous two finger head of satin white foam that fizzles away after about two minutes. Very little lacing left over on the glass.
Aroma:
Lemon zest. That's about it. A very light touch of Irish soda bread.
Taste:
Clean and dry with subtle flavors of slightly bittersweet lemon peel. Very mild notes of soda bread and floral parsley.
Feel:
Bubbly. Crisp. Dry. Highly quaffable. Not over-taxing on the palate, easy drinking.
Overall:
Very mild flavor but this is a good session beer. Would probably pair well with any type of food too.
