Dated 09/03/25, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a surprisingly clear dark yellow with great creamy foam. Aroma is incredibly appealing, bright tangerine, nectarine, and a little dank grapefruit. Overall smells great. Flavor is similar but distinctly modern WCIPA. There's a heavy hit of diesel and stone fruit and a lot of bitterness. There's a little white wine funk but the prevailing character is dry stone fruit and dankness. Very little malt character, just aggressive hops. Feel is good, decently drinkable for the ABV, and the hop flavors do shine through well.
Overall, I thought this would be a hazy, but I really didn't like the modern WCIPA ideas here. I get that it's well done, but I think the hop bill could've generated some lovely fruit flavors as per the aroma that really aren't present in this beer. I can appreciate the efforts to make a hoppy, clean beer that prioritizes bitterness and dry flavors, but I just was not expecting it and didn't love it. Peacharine is one of my favorite hops, and while it adds its signature peaches and cream flavor on the finish, I hate to say but I just wish this one was a hazy.
