We may have struck gold. Over the past 5 years we have brewed countless Hazy Double IPAs. What can we say, we love them, the people love them. Each recipe has been a slight tweak: different malts, altering the mineral content, swapping out hops, changing the hop addition procedure. The result is a framework we are extremely proud of.
Enter the newly reworked Sluice Box Hazy Double IPA. Built upon a luxurious and fluffy base of Superior Pilsen and Malted Oats and hopped with Idaho 7 in the whirlpool providing a foundational layer of tropical hop flavor and aroma. A blend of English Ale yeast strains provide juicy citrus and stone fruit esters which marry delectably with the grapefruit, passion fruit and berry notes from a luscious dry hop of Mosaic, Idaho 7 and Galaxy hops. Get stoked for Sluice Box Hazy Double IPA to be available year-round!

Poured at 48 degrees.
Look: Pale yellow with an orange hue. Medium white head that has solid retention.
Smell: Pleasant. Pure Mosaic hops.
Taste: Mosaic hops and stone fruits upfront. Light hop bitterness but faint malts come through at the finish.
Feel: Medium to heavy in mouth feel with medium carbonation.
Overall: No complaints. Just your average hazy. Worth a try if you can find it when fresh.

Pours a hazy, golden color with a nice white head that dissipates rapidly.
Tastes of grapefruit, tangerine and malt. There's a mild bitterness that does not build and a sweet character to the finish. Also has a nice lingering aftertaste.
