Picked this up recently at ShopRite Liquors in Little Falls because I loved the label and hadn't heard from, let alone had, anything from this brewery but this was worth getting as it was a nicely enjoyable IPA that went down smoothly and easily while being just complex enough to hold my attention throughout my time with it.
Golden, moderately carbonated, and topped off with plenty of head, this was a pretty unassuming beer that gave off the aroma of it's Citra and Strata from the get-go. Lemon, candied orange, dewy hops, and a bit of exotic fruit were in the nose as some jack fruit, deep tropical fruit, and Hawaiian Punch emerged on the palate once this fully warmed up. Subtly balanced, softly slick, and easy to drink, this had more Strata than Citra in it as the aftertaste was quite heavy-handed in taste for something with this light a body.
Hard to detect the booze in here as I only fit a bit of warming before finishing this off. "Drink fresh" was written on the side of the can but unfortunately, there wasn't a date written on the bottom of the can. Regardless, I loved the label to this and the liquid wasn't bad either although it wasn't quite like the New England IPA's from this neck of the woods. This could have left some lacing behind and been a bit more deep but overall, I enjoyed kicking back to this and wishing that I was in the Sunshine State instead of this frozen wasteland...
